Using Camera Angles

I'm Back ! <3

Today, we'll be focusing on the different camera angles starting with...

¨ High Angle:

The high angle is a technique used to portray the subject as powerless or vulnerable. This shot was taking by standing on my tippy toes and holding the phone higher. I titled the phone slightly downward to create the effect of having a higher angle than the subject shown.

¨ Low Angle:

The low angle is a technique that is used to make the subject appear with a higher power or presented as a strong person. This contrasts with high angle as the camera angle is facing upward instead of downward. This shot was taken by me squatting down and angling the camera upwards just a bit.

¨ Canted Angle:

The canted angle, or Dutch tilt, is a technique that requires the camera to be titled, allowing the vertical lines to meet the corners of the picture or frame.
